Alysa Kassay launches campaign for Congress in

North Carolina’s 6th District

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — Alysa Kassay today announced her campaign for the U.S. House representing North Carolina’s 6th District, pledging a results-driven, people-first approach focused on the middle class and local communities across the Piedmont Triad and throughout the congressional district.

Kassay began federal public service at 19 and rose to executive leadership as a chief supervising officer at the Internal Revenue Service, where she led frontline teams helping families and businesses through financial crises. During the previous administration, she said she was ordered under the “DOGE” initiative to lay off dedicated public servants, and eventually being removed herself — an experience she called “the unthinkable” that reinforced her belief that government must serve the people, not the other way around.

“I didn’t get rich working at the IRS, and I wasn’t after headlines — I served,” Kassay said. “I

took an oath, and I have never — nor will I ever — stop living by it. I’ll bring a results-driven approach backed by a clear plan and an unwavering commitment to turn North Carolina’s values into action. I won’t be a half-in, half-out representative — I’ll be 100% committed, all in, for you. It’s time for North Carolina to R.O.A.R. (Reclaim our American Rights)!”

Kassay said her campaign will focus on protecting reproductive rights; lowering health care costs by cracking down on junk fees and high drug prices while safeguarding Medicare and expanding Medicaid; defending Social Security as the earned promise seniors paid into; honoring veterans by expanding access to quality VA care and transportation to appointments; improving internet access so families, students and small businesses can thrive; and safeguarding personal data with stronger accountability. Kassay’s makes the following 3 Part Pledge to NC-06:

  1. Be present — by holding quarterly in‑person town halls and consistent year‑round engagement across the district when elected.

  2. Fight for you — evaluate every bill on whether it helps NC‑06 families, regardless of party affiliation.

  3. Be honest — explaining every vote and decision to constituents transparently.

Kassay will hold a press conference at Paddison Memorial Branch Library, 248 Harmon Lane, Kernersville, at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Media arrival/check-in is 9 a.m.
